不同的老師有各自的模版。如何判斷其優劣，除了仰賴有實力的老師去判斷，更簡單的方法是先從官方釋出的 high-level response 來了解什麼樣的回答能拿高分。本文收入筆者對於 sample answer 的優缺點分析，並進一步提出基於高分範例的模版供讀者參考。P.S. 請注意官方的範例忠實程現學生的答案，因此會有一些錯誤。
Task 1: Online or Classroom
State whether you agree or disagree with the following statement. Then explain your
reasons, using specific details in your explanation: Learning through online courses is more effective than learning in the traditional classroom setting.
解析 1：
- 範例： Learning through online courses more effect than learning the traditional classroom setting because of three reasons.
- 筆者：Learning via online courses is more effective in my opinion.
- 解析：開頭設立 position 有點太多，不需要講傳統的部份。
解析 2
- 範例：The first is that you can take the courses wherever you are once you have the computer and uh internet.
- 作者：For one, it saves commute time to school.
- 解析：第一個 Topic sentence 一般來說用 first of all 會更好，或者範例裡至少應該寫 The first one 才能呼應他的 three reasons。注意到筆者使用 for one 相當精練，很適合用於 Speaking 測驗。for 是因為，而 one 是 one reason。

- 範例：無
- 作者：Without the round-trip to a brick and mortar class, more efforts can be put into learning, making it more effective as far as time efficiency is concerned.
- 解析：高分範例未做 elaboration 及 comment。筆者這邊採「正面擴展」法做 elaborate，提到說不用來回實體課程，接著再連回去 effective 這個點做出 comment。
解析 4
- 範例：and second is that a discussion on the classes could be more easily for some students who are very shy to discuss with the friends, classmates and professor face to face. They can talk whatever they like if they face a computer.
- 作者：For another, it is good for shy students. In traditional classes, introverts may have difficulty talking with others face to face. By contrast, in online courses, people face monitors instead and thus feel less stressed to join the discussion. That way, the quality of education become effective for
- 解析：因為 for one 所以接下來就要 for another。此外因為是在做 topic sentence，愈精練愈好，範例把 elaboration 也包進來了，最好拆成兩句。筆者這邊使用「反面擴展」，提出非遠距課程的狀況，又因為是反面擴展，需要用 by/in contrast 拉回正面表述。此外，如果您能 paraphrase shy 那就有拿滿分的機會。
