回信時，若想告訴對方「不好意思最近比較忙（今天、明天、後天）」英語的時間副詞要怎麼說呢？直接照英文翻的話 these days 那就錯了！因為所謂的 these days 其實是指「近年來」。
Nowadays = Today = These Days
這三個字都是「近年來」的意思，其中 these days 為 informal 的講法。在字典上 these days = used to talk about the present time, in comparison with the past. 也就是說這三個字只適用於和過去比較的狀況，而不能夠描述中文所謂「這幾天」的概念。
最近這幾天的英語（模糊）
- I have a tight schedule currently and in/for the near future. => 這個講法就是「最近」，然而並未指出明確的時間。注意到如果使用 for 那就是在描述「不停地忙」，而 in 則暗指會發生在「最近的某個時間點」。就這點來說，原句的 tight schedule 使用 for 會比較符合其概念，。
- I have a tight schedule today and for the following/coming days. 這個講法傳遞出「最近這幾天」的概念，然而亦未指出明確的時間。
- I have a tight schedule today and the days ahead / to come. 這個講法比較帥氣且精練一些。不過仍然未指明時間。
圖中例句 what’s to come in the near future 之所以使用 in 是因為 come 這個字在此是「發生」的意思，而發生指只會在一個時間點，而不是持續的事件。所以這邊若使用 for 的話，概念就錯了。

- I have a tight schedule today and for the next two days. 加上 two 之後，時間就變的明確了。注意到，加上數量詞後通常使用 next。

Recently or Lately
recently/Lately = 這陣子。這兩個字包括了「現在」然而不包括「近期的未來」。並注意到他們在用法上稍有不同：
- I went to the library lately => X 因為 lately 是用於描述「重覆」發生的事件。
- I went to the library recently => O 若想描述「一次」性事件，應使用 recently。
- I’ve been going to the library a lot lately => O 因為重覆發生，所以要使用完成式來描述一段時間，本句使用完成進行式暗指這件事在短期的未來仍會持續發生。
- I’ve been going to the library a lot recently => O 若要描述「重覆」發生的事使用 recently 也是可以的。
結語：日常講話就用 recently 這個萬用字即可。然而注意到，當聽者遇到 lately 這個少用的字時，便會很清楚講者想要強調「重覆發生」的概念。
