影片中提到的四個較為正式的建議用法，其中 Suggest = 建議，語氣最弱，供參考之用。Recommend = 推荐，講者自己覺得好。Propose = 提議，較為正式。Advise = 給人忠告。特別注意到，所有建議的字中，只有 advise 字是接「人」，其後則接 on 或 against 來指向事物，此外「人」的部份是可以省略的。本文蒐集大量新聞實例，供讀者熟悉其用法。
